Sitting Pretty
Every once in a while, I like to surprise myself. Yes, I have a particular leaning toward contemporary design but I also have a hopeless romantic side to me. When I saw this Grand Deco Salon Chair in ebonized lacquer designed by Sandra Rossi for Colombostile, I felt transported back in time and imagined myself strolling along a Parisian street with my skirts swishing behind me and my lacy parasol bobbing up and down as I walked, not so much protecting me from the weak winter sun as serving as an accoutrement to my ensemble. This is the chair I would have chosen to greet me when I entered the door to my salon. It could have graced either side of the fireplace, as it's available in either a right- or left-facing model. Ah, back to reality, and a lucky reality it is because this chair is still available in left- and right-facing versions at Colombostile's new Miami showroom! They've just opened, and the range of furniture they offer runs the gamut from sleek contemporary to iconic furniture like the Grand Deco. Au revoir!
